Amnesia's main use is as running line in Fly Distance games - although black is unlikely to contrast well for casting purposes.  It can serve as contrast section in leaders or as trace material.

Plastic guide feet are lighter but also break more easily under abuse.

Screw-in guides make travelling with the rod easy while keeping the setup for the casting brief.  When screwing the guide into its foot, avoid pressure on the blank by stopping the rotation at the first resistance.  After finding the stop, it is a good idea to back off by one full turn before securing the guide in place with its lock nut.

The guides were supposedly made of hollow Molybdenum.  As such, they should not corrode.  A simple cleaning should suffice to achieve minimum line friction.

The large guide in the two-hand plastic-footed set is also held with some flexible tape or temporary thread wrappings to prevent rotation.

These spools were meant for use in the 1/4 oz. / 7.5 g plug distance games (plenty of spool 'volume') but some have also been used for 18 g 2-hand spin distance (risky).

These spools mount to a Shimano Super Aero 7000 used for 18 g 2-hand spin distance.
