"Braced" single-footed (SF) guides are recommended. Double-footed (DF) guides should be "casting" style.
Rear grip: bottom 6" of rod; Real seat: Fuji type #20 barrel (5") placed just above rear grip; Front grip: 15" just above reel seat
The top 30 to 50% of the rod should be as light as possible -> use the lightest single-foot guides (Ti-framed, TORZITE, size 5). Further down (*), the use of two-footed guides to lessen likelihood of damage and of a more economical type are fine. Note - most guides are not specified by "inside" diameter, but that is ultimately what's important.
